Use a tri-pod set the apature to a high f stop to get better depth of field. focus in the mid range and if the water is moving have a 2 second exposure to gain a pleasing milky effect.

Open your aperture as much as possible, get a nice fast shutter speed, 200 ISO. OR you can do HDR or your camera may call it bracketing, you can do it yourself or set it up in camera, take one over exposed (bright) picture, one perfectly exposed, then an under exposed (dark picture). Then put them in your computer and use Photoshop or something similar and over lay them on top of each other (make sure they are layers before the overlay and make them a little transparent). This way you get even detail and lighting in the trees, waves, etc.
